    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

American tennis player Jennifer Capriati won the French Open in 2001. Capriati defeated Kim Clijsters, from Belgium, in three sets, with scores of 1-6, 6-4 and 12-10. This was Capriati's second Grand Slam title; she had won her first at the Australian Open earlier in 2001.
