    Great Answer

    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

Three teams share the record for the most Olympic gold medals in the men's and women's soccer competitions with three: Great Britain, Hungary and the United States. Great Britain won gold in the men's event in 1900, 1908 and 1912, while Hungary took home men's gold in 1952, 1964 and 1968. The United States, on the other hand, won all three golds in the women's events, winning the tournament in 1996, 2004 and 2008.
