    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

A pre-hung door is a door that comes with the door slab, hinges and frame. A different kind of way doors can be purchased is simply buying the slab--the actual door by itself.

Pre - hung means the door has already been hung on a door frame prior to installation of the door. This makes installation of a new door faster and easier since the hinges have already been fitted and the hole for the door knob has usually already been cut. Special tools would be needed as well as some knowledge of carpentry to install a door that is not pre - hung.

The Wall Factory often uses pre - hung doors on the temporary walls we install since it saves time in completing a project.
