Taking a screen shot of your iPhone is the only way to save chat text using the Yahoo Messenger iPhone app. Make sure what want to save shows on your screen. Press and hold the "Sleep/Wake" button on the top, right edge of your iPhone. Press the "Home" button on the front of the iPhone. If your sound is on you should hear a camera-like click, and the screen should flash. If the text you want to save is longer than one screen length of the iPhone then repeat the above, making sure to have the last message or two of the previous screen shot at the top. This will enable you to keep the screen shots in order.
