  • Why wouldn't they be? The Church see nothing wrong with sexual relationships with in the covenant of marriage. **************************** Yes, Kim, That's a yes. **************************** "Alatea: Of course Keith. It's a great way to "produce" future tithing members." Through your snide remark, you are showing your ignorance again. The vast majority of couple missionaries are past child baring age. Couples are usually only called on missions after their children are grown and out on their own. So, by this time, the couple are too old to be producing more children. Of course you really don't care about the truth. You only care about criticizing that which you don't understand.
  • um he/she asked if they had sex, not if they were allowed to have children. yes they are, and yes, they probabbly won't have children because of their age. quit criticizing people who aren't criticizing
  • I'm not sure how to answer this one. On the one hand, the Church views sex as a good thing when limited to your spouse. Couples serving together are of an age where pregnancy shouldn't result (no extra medical bills). On the other hand, couples serving together need their minds focused on their mission and not their next rumble. I'm sure it's spelled out in the senior missionary handbook ;) Besides, it's of no concern to me at this point.
  • I hope we can step back and see that the scripture calls for no quarreling among each other. You shouldn't be saying things to each other that your saying and I urge you to examine yourself and your heart with regards to this as I do everday. The answer is YES they can have sex but I beg to differ with the answer that most missionaries are of an older age. I do not think they should be secluded past childbearing age as young people are GREAT missionaries and can reach those in need as well. Timothy speaks of such things that youth should not be looked down upon.
  • The simple answer is YES! Sex is a beautiful and important part of a relationship. It is a wonderful expression of love and this right would not be taken away from a rightfully married couple. This sacred power and responsibility of sex is to be used only within the bonds of holy matrimony. The only time we are commanded to control our privlege and ability to "be fruitful and mulitiply" is when are single, and also if we are married to remain faithfully monogamous to our companion. So again, yes, married couples on missions are allowed to have sex. As long as both are consenting and respectful and loving of each other, then sex is encouraged.
  • Ah, that answers my question too. I just had to wonder, as I glanced at Elder and Sister Yeller, "Do they still do it?". Not the best thing to be wondering in Sunday school, I know.
