No,that is not a way to get a promotion,do something with your works for being a diligent,obedient and hardworking to make you promoted.

It could if your boss is a Producer and he invites you to try out the Casting Couch for size as well as him. It could be if he is the Big Boss and owns the company. Otherwise when he gets axed all his sleeparounds get axed along with him. In the meantime the hot-to-trot babe is shunned because everyone knows what she is and they know "pillow talk" happens so people keep their mouths shut if they know what good for them. This is a not-unusual scenario. Many hot-to-trot babes use it and some of 'em actually find the success they seek. If you've got the stomach for it and you've got nothing else going for you it is one way to "rise to the top"! :)

Not necessarily. Monica Lewinsky became a laughingstock by so loyally serving the needs of The President in the 1990s, and there is hardly any boss of higher authority than The President.
By some opinions The President threw her under the bus, denying everything with "that woman, Miss Lewinsky".
She has been on and off with many things since. It is hard to gauge her degree of success, or lack thereof, since she had the resources of a wealthy family to draw from.

I wouldn't go betting my life savings on it. If you have a boss who does that, then he or she has probably done it before with other employees. So you may have some real icky business going on down there.
