    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

According to the Employee Benefit Research Institute (EBRI), a 2010 study found that 27 percent of Americans have less than $1,000 in their savings accounts. In other words, 73 percent of Americans have more than $1,000 tucked away in savings.
