There doesn't seem to be any female orcs in the film, how do they breed?

    Maybe they lack reproductive organs. And look more male then female do to the need for muscle. Since there not known for there brains.

    It is also possible that orcs have no secondary sexual characteristics, or that the females do not go into battle, so they're back at home keeping the home fires burning.

    there are relatively few females, pronto in the series, fewer in the books. the fact that there are no main characters left who are "mothers" is conspicuous through its absence (everyone's wife or mother having died young). I think it, as well as the unnaturally created orcs, represent the whole unnatural state Middle Earth is sliding into under the influence of Mordor.

    I do not believe that there are any female orcs. Orcs are elves that have been twisted and corrupted by sauron. No new orcs can be created unless more elves are captured in battle. There may be female orcs but they could be a rare occurence as females generally don't fight. If female elves were captured they may be made infertile during torture.

    Note: Uruk-hai are born to the earth NOT orcs as Salvar fawkes says.
