    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

    Planning

Draw your banner ideas on paper. Experiment with various banner sizes. A 728 by 90 pixel banner fits horizontally on a web page. A 160 by 600 pixel banner fits vertically on a web page. You can also try other sizes. Your banner should include the name of your forum. If your forum has a logo, include it on the banner as well.

    Design

Start a new project in your graphic design program. Set the layout to the size of your banner. Recreate the design you drew by hand. If your banner will appear on a forum welcome screen, use the words "click here" or "enter" on the banner. Save your banner when you are satisfied with its appearance. For fast page loading times, try to keep the banner smaller than 10 KB.
