    Great Answer

    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

    By Sound

Listen to the honk of the goose. Females make a "hoink" noise while males produce a higher pitched honk with a "steee-ill" sound according to the CornerStone Farm in Virginia.

    By Height

Compare the size of the geese. In general, males are larger and taller than the female, although this difference may be subtle.

    The Knob

Compare the size of the knob atop the head. As with the size, the male's knob is much larger than the female's knob.
