The active ingredient in skunk gas is Methyl mercaptan CH3SH, one description says it smells like rotten cabbage. It is also found in many cheeses.Mercaptan partially breaks down to Hydrogen Sulfide, H2S, relativly quickly. H2S is the smell of rotten egg. So get you a bucket and put some cabbage, raw and cooked, in there, break in a dozen eggs, tows in some crumpled hard boiled ones and some limburger cheese. Put a cover on it and set it in the sun. You'll have skunl gas in a few days. But why go to all that trouble you can by mecaptan in bottles, cylenders and even by the ton from any chemical supply house. I aint gonna speculate on why you wanta make your own skunk gas but have fun. Just do it down wind from me...way downwind.
