Help answer this question below.
If you know who the lien holder for the vehicle is, you can check with their repossession company.
Chase Bank and Ford Motor Credit use:

GMAC, and Bank of America use:
http://repo-world.com/index.html
Chrysler Credit, HSBC, and many Credit Unions use:
http://us-repo.com/index.html
I know there are many lenders but those are some of the big ones that I know about.
You could probably talk to the actual agent if you see him/her staking out the address of the individual with the car in question. Overall I think that the tough part would be to determine which agency is assigned to the case but if you happen to see the repo man looking around the house of the deliquent owner that could be your start.
If you dont want to approach the towtruck driver directly then call main office- Being that the repo companies are usually mom & pop operations they probably would be willing to strike some sort of deal if you contacted them directly by phone or formal business letter expressing your intentions.
Contact the lien holder if you know who that is.
why would you want to do that?... you rat fink.
What business is it of yours? Mind your own business, loser.
If you know who the lien holder is, i would contact them directly to inform them.
what state are you in ? contact me axe-recovery@hotmail.com
