I changed oil and oil filter on my 2003 Toyota 4Runner, and still the "MAINT"(replaced oil) light indicator goes on and off for about six times whenever I start the engine. What do I need to do to get that light indicator go away?

Before you turn-on the ignition, keep the odometer "RESET" button pressed - then turn on the ignition key to ACC. The "MAINT" light will blink few times at a faster rate and then get cleared. Keep the "RESET" button pressed till the light goes off.

On many Japanese vehicles there is a switch under the dash near the stearing column which must be pushed to reset the light. But I'm not sure that that's the case with 4Runner's

READ THE OWNERS MANUAL OR TAKE IT IN TO YOUR TOYOTA DEALERSHIP HAVE THEM RESET IT IT PROCESS IS VERY EASY KEY OFF PRESS AND HOLD THE TRIP ODOM BUTTON WHILE HOLDING TURN THE KEY TO THE ON POSITION YOU SHOULD SEE IT COUNT DOWN ONCE ALL 0'S COME UP RELEASE OFF THE BUTTON YOU MAY HAVE TO CYCLE THROUGH ODOM OR THE TRIPS TOYOTA LIKES TO JUMP AROUND
