How is the amount of money determined to be paid out from a 401K if you were only married 2 years but the account is much older? Does he get a portion of the amount paid in during the time I paid in? Or a portion of the total amount?

You're reading My ex-wife and I were divorced in MI 4 years ago. At the time of our divorce, she was awarded my 401(k). She has yet to take legal action to put it in her name or claim it. Is there a time limit on how long she has to do this?
