Pencil can be erased...it is not meant to be permanent. It is the ideal tool for people who can't make decisions or make a lot of mistakes. A letter written in pencil is usually from a child who erases a lot. Anything written in ink is meant to be serious so you pay more attention! Happy Thursday! :)

People don't take things written in pencil as serious as something written in pen. It can be erased and is much lighter. A pencil is to a pen as a large frozen tuna is to a sword.

Interestingly, the phrase means that words are more powerful/dangerous than physical violence. Yet actions speak louder than words. Make up your mind, cliches!

That was an old quote. Maybe pens were the only things you could write with. Now we have, not only pencils, but computers. All forms of writing tools are mightier than the sword.

Because you need the sword to sharpen the pencil, you can't risk a confrontation.
Both will poke your eye out.
Sword: made of steel, so very strong and durable.
Pencil: Can be fired from a bow to poke your eye out at a distance.
