According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 25.0 square meterkm sq (9.6 square miles). 21.6 km sq (8.4 mi sq) of it is land and 3.3 km sq (1.3 mi sq) of it (13.28%) is water.
The city limits are defined by Eudora, Abrams, and CR 44 (bypass) on the East, CR44 to the North, US Hwy 441 to the South, and Lake Eustis and Florida Hospital Waterman to the West.
