Help answer this question below.
A number line graphically plots the number of times a particular character occurs. Using this, data is organized easily and simply when the respondent is looking to compare up to 25 numbers. A number line plot comprises of a horizontal straight line which is referred to as the "X- axis." Values on this horizontal line are labeled at equidistant spaces from one another. These are called "intervals." Then data is populated on this line by means of crosses or dots. Data or information is plotted on this line as per the number of times an even occurs. Through this pictorial representation, one can easily ascertain the most and least number of times an incident happens within a set of data. By reading a number line plot, one can pictorially visualize the prevalent trends. The mean, mode, median and range of the data can easily be ascertained. This paves the way for a lot of statistical and mathematical research on the tendencies of the data. A number line plot can be used only when the range of the data is limited to fewer 20 to 30 characters. It becomes virtually impossible to plot a large data range on the number line. The researcher must be careful to place intervals at equal distances from one another. In case the first interval is at "10 marks" and the second one is at "20 marks," it becomes mandatory the third one has to be at "30 marks."Features
