    It is actually very flat as it runs in to the Rockies, and the city itself is not hilly or like a mountain. It's a plain that is a mile high.

    Denver is located at in the Colorado Front Range region, between the Rocky Mountains to the west and the Great Plains to the east. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 401.3 square kilometrekm sq (154.9 square miles), of which 4.1 km sq (1.6 mi sq), or 1.03%, is water.
