    Palm kernel oil is an ingredient of Cool Whip, but palm oil is not. The difference between the two is that palm oil is made from the fruit of the plant while palm kernel oil is made from the seed. Palm kernel oil is 82% saturated fat while palm oil is only 50% saturated fat.
