Oopponents racquets hit together as they tried to return ball. Returned ball landed on our side but we did not return ball. Who wins point?

I'm watching the stosur schiavone tennis match. Why did schiavone lose a point on a ball she ran for but the ball was out anyway.

Partner calls serve long. Opponents complain. I ask partner if he's sure of call, answer's yes. I saw serve in. Best way to proceed?
