    Install the knob for a bifold door approximately 36 inches off the finished floor. For double doors, the knobs are located on the two doors closest to the center. For doors that slide in one direction, install the knob on the door panel that is not attached to the floor. If installed correctly, the knobs are in full view when the door is completely open.
