    The baseballs used by Major League Baseball players are manufactured in Costa Rica. A factory in Turrialba, in the central part of the country, is the only place in the world authorized to make baseballs for MLB. The factory belongs to Rawlings Sporting Goods, which has an exclusive contract to supply MLB with baseballs through 2013.
