you mean they cut off your penis?

What are your doctors saying about it?

There aren't too many on here(that I know of) who could professionally,or through experience,tell you about this.

- I find that fascinating. Prostate cancer is responsible for 30% of all cancer fatalities as is Breast cancer: in other words 60% of deaths from cancer come from these two types...the balance makes up all other cancers. Breast cancer is very well publicised etc because women made it so...prostate cancer is almost unknown as if men are too shy/embarrassed to speak about it.
  
  Now here's the rub, when your prostate is removed your ability to have an erection disappears because the nerves that stimulate your penis, are normally damaged (some procedures can minimise this). You still have your testicles and produce testosterone and get horny! You can still come (backward into your bladder!) but not ejaculate. You can also inject yourself into the penis with a drug that will stiffen your penis but it's painful and could lead to problems if you overdo it! So in summary, a radical prostatectomy is radical.... it affects your sex life dramatically as opposed to a mastectomy, while unpleasant and disfiguring, doesn't affect a woman's sex life as much
