JCP Rewards members earn one point for every dollar spent at J.C. Penney. Members who earn 250 points in a month receive a $10 coupon that can be redeemed at the company's stores, website and catalogs. Members can earn one $10 coupon per month for a total of 12 per year. Points can be earned on all regular- and sale-priced merchandise, but clearance items and purchases at JCP Outlet are excluded.
To join JCP Rewards, visit the JCP Rewards website. Enter your name, personal information and a user name. To accrue JCP Rewards, you must include a credit card or debit card number in your profile. JCPenney uses this card number to tally your points. Two additional cards can be saved in your JCP Rewards profile.
In some months, J.C. Penney will offer double points, allowing JCP Rewards members to earn two points for every dollar spent. Purchases made with JCP Cards earn an extra 25 percent in points. J.C. Penney notifies members by email of these promotions.
Members can keep track of how many points they've earned in their online account. Points should display within two days of the purchase. When you reach 250 points, you'll receive an email with a link to your $10 rewards certificate good at J.C. Penney locations.
Purchases made at JCP Oulet, JCP Online Oulet and clearance items don't earn JCP Rewards points. Only purchases made using the cards registered in your membership profile earn rewards points. Unused points expire at the end of each month. Rewards certificates also expire at the end of the month in which they were received. Only one $10 certificate can be received each month, although a certificate can be earned every month.
