Probably not, but here's one thing to try: borrow another controller, and try it in your PS2. If that controller doesn't vibrate either, there's something wrong with your PS2, or someone turned off the vibration setting for that particular game on your system (check the Options menu to make sure vibration is turned on for your system.) If you can't get any controller to vibrate on your system, it probably needs professional repair.

Maybe, but you are required to replace a surface mount fuse on the ps2 motherboard; the suspect fuse is the "ps7" 0.7amp (v5+). below is a link to a place where you can find the diagrams for fuse locations on the different ps2 models :) http://www.psrtech.co.uk/fuses.htm

maybe on your PS2 you have vibration OFF and on other PS2's all the vibration is ON. Pause the game and on the pause menu it should say vibration ON,OFF switch to ON. or go to game settings.
