If this happens with all disks I think you have a serious hardware problem. Maybe cleaning the lens will help, if not, go the store where you bought it and let them fix it.

I am having the same problem. I tried opening the box and moving the laser with the POT for it, but that did not work. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? The problem first happened all of a sudden. We were playing the NGC the night before and it worked perfectly, and then I woke up, and wanted to play a little and it wouldnt let me play for more than 10 min.

The lens are either damaged or dirty you can clean the lens with a cotton swab using a CD lens cleaner liquid. And wet one end and the other dry. Clean slightly and then dry the lens with the other end. Also your game disc maybe damaged if it happens to all your games then its because the lens are dirty. If they are damaged then the Nintendo Gamecube needs to be repaired for only $60 just call 1-800-255-3700 NOA "Nintendo of America".

I tried the gamespot lens calibration guide. And it worked fine (I only play with original discs so the problem are not the discs). Also I used the bic pen system for unscrewing and have replaced the annoyinng nintendo screws for 4 identical philips ones.
