    Barberton is located at (41.015805, -81.605897), along the Tuscarawas River.

    According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 23.9 km sq (9.2 square miles). 23.3 km sq (9.0 mi sq) of it is land and 0.6 km sq (0.2 mi sq) of it (2.38%) is water.

    Lake Anna, a 10 acre natural spring lake, lies in Barberton and is the center of a small park which is named after it.
