    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

From 1299 to 1922, 35 rulers of the same dynasty oversaw the vast Ottoman Empire, which was named after its first chieftain, Osman I. It reached its zenith during the 16th century reign of Sulayman (Suleiman) the Magnificent, spanning Africa, Asia and Europe. As a repercussion of World War I, the empire dissolved under Mehmed VI.
