Sometimes those"in charge" are more concerned with the rights of the convicted perp than the rights of the victim. How is that just?

My dad used to tell me, "if you want to know the truth, follow the dollar" the State makes money off of prisoners, they dont make anything off of victims, therefore a prisoner has value and a victim is an expense, thats probably how "those in charge" look at there bottom line.

If nothing else I've learned is that the American "Justice" System is about anything but justice, much less right or wrong. What we have here is the result of a bunch of greedy, litigious, out-of-touch with reality sharks with briefcases called lawyers who have taken them upon themselves to define the world according to the politics of the moment.

For a perfect example of what you're asking, research what happens to rape victims. They're raped and victiminized twice, once by their attacker and then by the system. They are always more concerned with the perceived rights of the perpetrator than those of the victims. And that is one of the many reasons why many women who are raped won't press charges because they know that what they have to face afterwards is actually worse and more traumatizing than the actual event. Tragic!

I say shoot all rapists, paedophiles, people who commit murder without just cause, drug dealers, and any other low life piece of shit who would threaten my family. Burn their bodies to ashes and use it as fertilizer.

If those in charge of criminals in jail are bribed, then it is possible, knowing the corruptibilty of some officials who do favors for the desperate convicts who pay a dear prize.

I don't think that is true. They do indeed look out for the rights of the criminal, but the also look out for the rights of the victim. Pleas could you give an example of them caring /more/ for the criminal than the victim rather than /as well as/ the victim.

    LePoupon is a proper gander.

I don't understand how those "in charge" can effect the victim's rights (theoretically the victim should still have the same rights as before the crime, in the case of injury is not always possible to make the criminal pay for the healthcare).

I've spoken to a few police officers about crime rates and they seem to think the numbers are just jumbled around based on what those "in charge" need to let people know.
In my view, the perp's rights being paraded is just an excuse to shift the budget to something other than prisons.

It isn't. When you commit a crime, your rights should cease. q:)
