    You probably mean 'punch volley' which means that you keep your wrist firm, racket extended, and hit through (or punch) the ball, to get control and power in your volley.

    I've been playing and teaching tennis for over 30 years, and I've never heard of the punch serve either on the court, in instruction books, during camps or clinics, on television, or in seminars.
