Help answer this question below.
With the right hardware and software, you can watch satellite TV on a computer. It requires a satellite dish, low-noise block converter (LNB) and a digital signal tuner card for your PC. Then, with the right software, you can decode the signal and watch TV on your PC. The dish needs to be pointed precisely and permanently, preferably professionally, at the satellites that your LNB will pick up. Otherwise, you lose signal and picture quality. The only channels that you can get are channels that are free-to-air (FTA). Software glitches in the free decoding programs make it a hassle to keep your TV watchable, and major satellite companies will not sell you programming this way. It is possible to watch satellite TV on your PC, just not satisfactory. It requires a lot of work for a small number of channels. On One Hand: You Can Watch Satellite TV on a PC
