Get your co-pilot to fly the plane, you can kick back with a brewski, read a magazine or try your luck with one of the flight attendants.

    Enjoy it!
I had my first flight at age 5 months - so i was not really aware of it, but have always loved flying. It is a very relaxing experience. I love the moment of take off... when you feel the airplane build up speed, and then realise you are off the ground - it is quite thrilling!

    Just relax and enjoy it!!!!

Well, As a flight attendant, I deal with this a lot.

First, Remember above all, you'll be fine. Nothing will happen, and there is nothing to worry about.

Second - Just relax. If you have anything you are having trouble with, or you need help with, feel free to ask your flight attendant.

Third - Bring some entertainment. Load up a music device or iPhone with podcasts, bring a good book or two. You can also get books in MP3 form, pick something that interests you, and that's a whole plane ride of entertainment right there. Watch the movie on the screen, or on your seatback screen.

Fourth and most important - Be nice to your flight attendants. We are the ones who can help you out, get you what you want, and make your flight as pleasant as possible. Also, the nicer you are to us, the more likely we are to give you little bonuses - probably not an upgrade, but maybe some free drinks, or preference with snacks, things like that.

Some People think we're just flying waiters and waitresses, but in reality, we are the top dogs in that cabin. We are in control, pretty much absolutely - for example, did you know it's against the law to disobey a lawful and reasonable request from a flight attendant when you are on board an aircraft?

Just sit back. Relax. Be good to us, and let us make it the best flight we can.

If you have anything further to ask, please, ask in the comments.

I don't like to fly at all. My suggestion is to not eat the day before and the day you fly. Get to the airport with plenty of time to spare so you won't stress about missing your flight. Close your eyes during takeoff and count to 100 before you open them. Don't sit by the window if you have a fear of heights. Take a snack with you.

When I was a kid my parents told me to roar like a lion on take off and landing when the engines are loudest. It's totally embarrassing but that's the point. It's much more fun to be embarrassed than scared. Keep busy during the flight too and remember almost everyone else on the plane has done this before so if anything happens that scares you look around, I guarantee they'll either be bored or asleep.
