A recluse spider bite isn't generally deadly for healthy adults.If you treat it like any other insect bite and watch for infection you should be fine, once the painful effects of the poison pass.
See a doctor immediately if you experience a high fever, shortness or breath or signs of infection in the bite. If the bite victim is under twenty or over fifty, a precautionary visit to the doctor is also recommended. Also keep in mind that if something goes wrong, it's likely to go very, very wrong.
Under normal conditions, it's possible for a healthy adult to make it through a recluse bite without medical attention. However, the potential seriousness of a recluse bite means it's a much better idea to get immediate medical attention.
