Help answer this question below.
Why "men"? Thats nonsense.
Because animals often can't defend themselves. They are easy targets for cruel people.
You just meant "some men," right--as in why would any man abuse an animal? I'm proceeding on that assumption. Men who abuse animals are full of hatred and rage and are too fearful and cowardly to show that anger against fellow men and way too messed up to even consider talking their anger out. The concept never crosses their minds. In addition, they see animal pain as not amounting to much, compared to human pain, so they think it's okay to do to an animal what they might never do to a human, although abusers of animals often move on to violence against human. They lack empathy with other creatures, so their conscience, or lack thereof, says, "Why not?"
Because that's what "people" without souls do...they can only feel through the pain of others. Zombies who should endure what they inflict.
Men dont abuse animals. COWARDS do.
A person that would take his frustrations out on an animal, woman or child is not deserving of the tittle "MAN", I think coward is the proper term.
And to answer your question, To beat or hurt a being that is inferior in size, strength,or intelligence,I believe that it gives a coward a way to feel powerful.
The coward is aware that if he assaults a MAN he is in for a fight, however if he hurts a female, child or pet,he looks like a dangerous, tuff guy;at least in the eyes of the victim. I however am not fooled.
Because as my cuzin Diane says,"Men want power" They are insecure about themselves and need to feed their big egos any way possible, including animal abuse.
Thats a massive generalisation. Most guys i know love animals.
Same reasons as for why women abuse animals, I would imagine.
Some people (men and women) abuse animals because they are unenlightened about the truth that animals have feelings, too, and that they feel hurt and pain like humans do. These animal-like behavior of some humans has its roots in man's hatred of the world in general - some because they were brought up in a hostile environment or were abused themselves by their parents and come to be so through no faults of their own; they were victims themselves, and so manifest that in animals or towards fellow human being.
The tendency to hurt animals is evil because some are inherently evil (though, I guess others would not agree) - sort of sadistic by nature or psyche. Man cannot understand fully the complexity of a human being of how he turns out the way he became with regards to treatment of animals.
They need counselling, perhaps. They don't realize that they are hurting others (be it man or animal) because they themselves were hurt. It becomes automatic for them.
They don't realize that animals are wonderful creatures made by God.
i dont know where u get that idea from but most men dont and im sure some women have to. i love my animals i have 3 awesome dogs and a cat and i dont abuse them.... well some times i give my cat catnip BUT SHE LIKES THAT TO

Actually if you watch animal cops, it's more common for men to abuse animals than women.
