A rhyme is sublime if its said on time
with a steady beat, rhyming is a passion of mine
its just words that make sense even if they dont
because they rhyme, but not all the time, cuz sometimes they wont
and that when you gotta take a few steps back
smoke a few trees and get back on track
write a full length essay of rhyme and flow
then spit it and use it as croud control
make them move make em bop
    just watch they cant stop
their all infected by the sound of your groove
just keep it goin man and you just cant lose

Yes, mainly because I'm useless at it.

This is Mike Myers doing some "Beat Poetry" from one of my all-time favourite movies "So I Married an Axe-Murderer". Hope you can watch it.;-)

Seriously, Rosie, I think rhyme is sublime - there's no argument with that and only for a reason...
In classical poetry or verse writings, rhyming is absolute and it's pure artistry for poeple who are gifted like Shakespeare, William Blake, John Keats, Emerson and Dickenson.

I'm into what I originally term free-flowing poetry which is akin to that of an abstract painting. I love peotry and I have written several of this type of poetry. If conventional standards are used to gauge my poetry, I could never be anything but a loser, but I love to express myself in free-flowing poetry. This type of poetry follows no rules but only the whim and caprice of the writer and nothing else...It's like looking through the rain and you see hazy things that pass by without being afraid, for the rain provides the abstractions of reality as in an abstract painting that is its counterpart...

Although at first glance this type of poetry borders on the extreme, just think of creativity as transformational: from music to a painting, poetry to music, sculpture to music, and a wide range of transformations that may have similar meaning but different form of expression.
