Not until they are mature enough to understand how important trust is. Of course if we are talking about politicians they have never been trustworthy.

You speak for yourself I trust. I disagree with you since I have experienced the opposite of what you state, so for myself, I know better. Some are born trustworthy and others die never having been trustworthy a moment in their lives. Maybe it is in the genes. Some people are honest to a fault...others will connive/cheat at every opportunity. Maybe it's in the genes. Happy Monday! :)

I think that you get what you expect to get for the most part...from life, from other people, from yourself. There are always exceptions of course but we cannot live life by exception...if we do that we miss a lot of what is really good. Thank you for your answer Wiz! :)

I have always been trustworthy as has my son. No exceptions, no rationalization, no spin, no half-truths, no blinders, no deception, no nothing. That is a fact. If you are trustworthy you model that for your child and that is all he/she knows. If you are sneaky and rummage in drawers and pockets and eavesdrop on conversations and invade diaries and audit phone conversation and open mail you model distrust and that is exactly what you get in return.
