Color is an inescapable element of graphic design. Your choice of color affects your audience in ways you may not realize. It is important to know the meaning of color in graphic design, so you can choose the right colors to evoke the desired response in your audience. A simple and sparse black-and-white design can be the most eye-catching in a sea of confusing colors. Black conveys authority and power, and never goes out of style. An intense, heavy color, red implies bold confrontation. Use a lot of red when you need to convey action, emotion and force, or use as an accent to convey the importance of your message. Blue is an always popular color with many different meanings. Blue can convey meditation and tranquility. Be careful in your use of this color, though, as it can also mean cold and sadness. Green is a popular color, symbolic of the "green" earth-friendly movement. Green can also mean wealth and good fortune, as well as fertility. Though it is a bright, cheery color, too much yellow can be overwhelming. Yellow has been shown to increase concentration, but more people lose their tempers in rooms painted yellow. Brown is the color of nature, of animals and earth. It is a simple, comforting color, the color of wood and leather. Be careful not to bore or tire your audience with too much brown.Black
