Because they love us without condition. My dog is a Labradoodle, a cross between a Labrador and a Standard Poodle. He is loving, intelligent, loyal and playful and has the sweetest disposition. I think dogs and cats become our companions and bond with us in very special ways. I couldn't imagine life without them. Years ago we had a cat who lived 19 years. That cat was always a chapter ahead of us and when she had to be put to sleep due to advanced age and illness, we all went into mourning. She was so special.
