Help answer this question below.

When to choose Knowledge over Ignorance?

so i'm trying to write an essay about why people SHOULD choose choose knowledge over ignorance.
Red pill>blue pill kinda. what kind of situations would it be better to have knowledge instead of "ignorance is bliss"?

the 3 i have are
1)the truth might hurt at first, but you're no longer living in someone else's lies. (cheating in relationship)
2)if you don't learn the truth and accept reality, you are forever controlled by others (socarates allegory of the cave)
3) forbidden apple (adam and eve discover they are naked. "reality" is not what they thought they knew)

please help me think of another one! or just share your thoughts on this i okay too i suppose.
examples can be from lit, life, media, anything.
thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Some would say that what does not kill you makes you stronger. If your acceptance of ignorance leads to a pursuit of knowlegde that does not lead to death, then would you not be better off by knowing? I think as far as Adam and Eve go, it was more the fact that they tried to hide their ignorance that led to their fall.

"And what is ignorance[avijja], what is the origin of ignorance, what is the cessation of ignorance, what is the way leading to the cessation of ignorance? Not knowing about dukkha[suffering, symbolized by potter's wheel not turning smoothly] not knowing about the origin of dukkha, not knowing about the cessation of dukkha, not knowing about the way[noble eightfold path/ariya atthangika magga] leading to the cessation of dukkha — this is called ignorance.
