House was leased to a tenant with a lease purchase agreement for a year. The tenant submitted a check for 1st and last month rent which did not clear bank and was returned. Tenant was given a 14 day notice to vacate thru certifed mail. Time up,now what

    times up! its time to start a legal process through small claims court. you need to get back all the money that is owed to you from the time they moved in to the time they left. make sure that if you do take the legal way you have proof. Go get your money!

    Most counties in the US have a Landlord-Tenant court where disputes and evictions are decided.

    Time for eviction, and if the checks bounced you can also take them to small claims court. The law in most states is to give them a 30 day notice. You can threaten them to leave or go through eviction, through the courts.
