    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

In October 2006, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert of Israel suggested that Eli Wiesel replace Moshe Katzav as president of Israel, according to Daniel McGowan, professor emeritus at Hobart and William Smith Colleges. Katzav was forced to resign following rape charges. Wiesel turned the suggestion down.
