I just know both sides of my family are Jewish
E3b1 is much older than the Israel identity which was born around 2000BC. So the idea of connecting E3b1 with the ancient Israel seems a bit off.
Bible renders information confined to a school of thought, DNA transcends the myths.
A distance of 2 or 3 in genetic times is pretty far distance and with the 12 marker it is even more distance.
Try a 25,37, or 72 marker test and see who matches. Surname projects can also can maybe connect you with people who think they may be part of the lost tribe of Israel. Wikipedia can get you closer to people who are trying to prove their assertions about being part of the lost tribes.

You're reading I have an E3b1 Semitic haplotype. Could I be related to one of the lost Tribes of Israel? Only 3% of surnames like mine have this haplotype and I have dna matches with Jews who are 2 to 3 markers (12 marker test) distant from mine.
