    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

The first neon light was invented in 1910 by French industrial chemist Georges Claude. The patent number was 1,189,664. Claude proved that neon gas would glow with colored light when it was placed inside a tube and electricity was discharged into it.

If you would like to learn more about the history of neon signs and watch a short video showing how neon signs are made, here is a link to a website with quite a bit of information about the history of neon signs. The name of the website is Neon-Sign.us and it is a neon sign information website.

If you want good quality and a good price on a neon sign, you should check out Neon Sign World. They have thousands of quality neon and LED signs at good prices.
