Mercedes-Benz carries with it, according to its official website, a reputation for making the "most well-built cars in the world." Owners of the G55 AMG 4x4 on Mercedes-Benz enthusiast website BenzWorld.org post rave reviews of the vehicle, and very few describe problems or complaints. According to BenzWorld, Mercedes subsidiary AMG tweaks the engine in an already powerful 4x4 to deliver more power than engines found in similar, non-AMG G500 4x4 models. Columnist Jerrod Jones of "4-Wheel & Off-Road" magazine created a 2006 article for the publication entitled "The Best 4x4 Trucks on Earth," and though the article listed numerous brands, including Jeep, Land Rover and Dodge, the G55 AMG did not make the list. In addition, automotive publication "Auto Evolution" named the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon the Best 4x4 of the Decade in January 2010.
