    Great Answer

    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

The original Ten Commandments are found in the Old Testament. However, the New Testament does restate each of the commandments, including the second. In 1 John 5:21 and Acts 17:29, the command regarding carved images is reiterated in different wording.

    Which 2nd Commandment?

According to the Jews, the 2nd is:
"You shall have no other gods before Me..."

According to the Catholics and Lutherans, the 2nd is:
"You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain..."

And according to all other Christian sects, the 2nd is:
"You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth. You shall not worship them or serve them..."

At any rate, providing one accept the Deity of Christ and the Holy Spirit, "You shall have no other gods before Me" is certainly clear throughout the text of the NT.

"You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain..." isn't exactly stated, but it follows from MT 5:33-37:
    - "Again, you have heard that it was said to the people long ago, `Do not break your oath, but keep the oaths you have made to the Lord.' But I tell you, Do not swear at all: either by heaven, for it is God's throne; or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King. And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make even one hair white or black. Simply let your `Yes' be `Yes,' and your`No,' `No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one."

As for not making, bowing down to, or serving graven images, the first Apostolic council in Acts 17 expressly prohibits idolatry.
