Office 97, including Microsoft Word 97, is not compatible with Windows Vista. Office 2007 works best with Microsoft Vista, although the Office 2000 suite is included in the extended support provided by Microsoft. Consider upgrading your version of Word while using Vista or using the Microsoft Works word processing program already installed on Vista computers.
