For gaming, you want performance.
First off the 64-bit systems are much faster than the old 32-bit (i86) systems and multi-core cpu's are faster than single-core cpu's.
Next, the speed of your computer is determined by the processor speed times the front-side bus speed times the multiplier setting (in BIOS). Pay attention to these specs as you shop and you can find some very fast equipment without paying a huge amount for a top end motherboard and processor.
There are lots of reasonably priced power supplies (internal) and you can get very good graphics cards with 1 gig of on-board memory for less than a hundred dollars.
Save on memory (RAM) by getting it direct from manufacturers like Crucial instead of through a distributor.
Some hi-performance gaming components aren't cheap, but you can shop around and find some good deals.
A powered network card (The 'Killer NIC' is one example) will take the network processing load off the main system, leaving more processing power for gaming.
Is there any free fps games that works on a slow pc. Make sure there is no DOWNLOADs. i dont like downloades.thanks
