As the last answer mentioned, 10 is about right depending on condition, if its in tune, engine size and terrain. I saw one of those sometime back that had a factory Chevrolet 292 inline six cylinder. Of course it was stock as far as I could tell. I almost bought it. Should have as I got 15-16 mpg with a turbo 400 trans. It was about 25 feet in length. Those sixes most people don't know the capabilities of them over V8s. I already pulled my 350 a bought from Hiperformer or called S&S machine a 292 inline balanced, for smoothness and longevity, with propane pistons for better compression and ported and polished head for better breathability and incresed power and mpgs. With a small ( 390-500 cfm )4 bbl carb or two singles it will pull the hills as good or better than a SBC V8 and use less gas. It will be installed tomorrow. Stock they ran good but not too effiecient but with some fancy machine work, and better exhaust and such they do real well. Simple to maintain, parts are cheap and they run forever. Same bolt pattern to the bell housing as the V8. Even the same motor mounts. Just a suggestion of you want to run it without going broke at the pump. Henry
