    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

The minimum wage in British Columbia is $8 (Canadian) per hour. The exception to the minimum wage law is that for a first job where the employee has no work experience prior to November 15, 2001, the minimum wage is $6 for the first 500 hours with one or more employers.
