Don't know about slowing down, but I don't see alot of people that were here when I first joined a month or so ago. Maybe you're right..

I know it has peaks and valleys and far as amount of activity. More than anything, I think the quality of questions has plummeted since I've started visting. The vast majority of questions are inane little querries thrown out just to garner points. I think we need people looking for actual information or questions that, at the very least, spark real debate. Not "Shower or bath?"

I used to wonder about this sort of thing... whether AB was dying or not, what the changes in the rating system meant to the future quality of the site, whether trolls should be shot or hung, etc. But it always seems that whenever I get concerned about those kinds of questions, I stop having fun or being satisfied with AB. To me, it all comes down to one thing: am *I* going to do my best to contribute today? If I do my best to contribute, I'm satisfied and it's all good. If I'm holding back, not willing to really play fully until I see if the conditions are good, or holding on to my ideas of how things were in the past (the good old days!), it doesn't go well. It's MY job to make AB interesting and worthwhile. Obviously, my invitation to others is to take that same attitude. Clearly, plenty of people do, and that becomes a self-fulfilling program. I can ignore an awful lot of junk in the water when I'm steering for that lighthouse.

To me yes I think so - So I'll just keep doing what I have been doing by giving helpful answers

Short and to the point: Not for me.

It seems like one bad apple can ruin it for lots & lots of true blue ABers.

It kinda seems like it.

i kind of get the feeling as in life there are many ups and downs. there are moments when things are working people are connected and you are really into it and others when you look and all the questions seem to be pointless and you just go on and do other things...

I think it is just the season, in the summer/spring more people want to be outside. In the winter/fall more people are inside thus on the comp more. It'll pick back up again soon. :)
